I was a bit 'nervous about this purchase as another reviewer said this was not the product officially licensed Nintedo but it is. It is not a cheap imtitaion is exactly the same thing that came with the DSI. Regarding the duration can not say because I just got. But what came with the DSI lasted only eight months so I think perhaps they have a long life.

    These adapters work for hte DSi well. Not seem to last long so I bought two this time. This is the third and fourth card for it and we just got in December (7 months ago).
