I have used other brushes, scrubbies and tissues (including my hand-knit) and this was the best way to clean my Lodge cast iron yet. I was a bit 'surprised because I did not really look all that robust, but it's blocked real well for over a year. I soak my sponge (12-inch pan) with water and then wipe away with this brush. Volte use of salt for extra scrubbing power, but not very often. I like the long handle and how the head fits into the furrow where the sidemeets the base of the pan. Care washing my brush bristles with the familiar blue dishwashing liquid, rinse well until no traces of the soap and hang to dry again. I would have given five stars if the brush were just a little 'stiffer. Overall, very happy with this item.

This brush does what it says, clean my cast iron cook ware and sea to be lasting well. The long handle is nice and you can use the edge of the woods, where the bristles are to scrape stubborn stains without scratching the cast.
