I bought the guitar version for my 6 year old son, and being the good mother that I have the version of the violin for me to learn the violin that I received as a graduation present for college. Cannot get the boy to do "lessons" if the mother is ducking, right? Br / br / Well, I must say I am impressed with this software. You do not need any background whatsoever in music, which I do not. My son is very excited, and I practiced every day after it arrived. My three year old daughternow asking for a violin for her birthday.br / br / The cartoon characters are not annoying at all, and the matches are short, but significant. The games are like pop quizzes that give you a warning bell to indicate where your weaknesses are short-know if you can reveiw neccessary.br / br / Another feature of the software that I like is that you do not need the disc to run. My husband got a guitar so I can play with the boy, and we have the software installed on 3 different computers.br/ Br / Honestly, if you do not play an instrument, but you've always wanted will not be disappointed with this software.

For those who want to learn to play the violin without the cost being group or private lessons, this software is for you! Br / br / discount! Br / Easy to use! Br / br / The lesson progressions are tried and true and the instructor is excellent electronic and steps new students young and old at their own pace through the basics for more advanced practice techniques and drills to learn to play skillfully voilin. Each lesson is short and will be repeated as manytimes really time to "do" as my children say. My kids really like using this software and I like that they are learning a musical intrument without the expense of traditional lessons in progress.

I just got my copies of "My Violin" by mail today. After playing with the program for about 3-4 hours, I must say that I love! it. I'm 31 years old, and I am only now beginning to learn the violin. I had no prior contact with the reading or music played before, why I chose this program. Tion was to be used for children 6 and up, and my only thought was, "Hey if a six years old can learn to play violin disable this, then I can maybe himself." The program is really easyfollow, easy to understand, visual and video mixes componates EVERY step, and teaches passivly you learn to read music and rhythm. The instructor loves, of course, teaching and is very friendly and easy to understand. It 's a bit childish in its content, as was never designed for kids! as an adult beginner I highly recommend this program not only for children, but anyone can have learning difficulties. The use of games to remember the lessons and the use of video assistance wasIngenious. This program gives a complete set of five stars from me. *****
